Service Fees

At Lumus Psychology, full payment is required at the time of your appointment. All standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes in duration.

We are a private billing practice and do not offer bulk billing, allowing us to provide a high-quality and personalised service to every client.

Rebate: $98.97 (through Medicare’s Better Access Initiative)
To claim this rebate, you will need a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, or a referral from a psychiatrist or paediatrician. Please ensure you allow enough time during your GP appointment to discuss your eligibility and obtain the appropriate referral.
Up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year are currently available under Medicare.

If your bank details are registered with Medicare, rebates can be processed directly into your nominated account after your session.

Services are available for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Fees are aligned with the current NDIS price guide. No out-of-pocket cost applies for eligible clients.

If you hold private health insurance with extras cover, you may be eligible to claim a rebate for psychological services. Rebate amounts vary by provider and policy.
Please note: Medicare and private health rebates cannot be claimed for the same session.
